Sustainability Report
This report provides a succinct overview of Engen's economic, social
and environmental performance during the three financial reporting years 2007,
2008 and 2009 (FY2007-FY2009). Financial reporting for these years started 01 April
and ended 31 March the following year. Currently Engen's financial reporting year starts 01 January
and ends 31 December. The review highlights a number of positive
achievements and developments that we have made, and identifies some of our focus
areas and areas for improvement. The performance review includes all the countries
in which we operate, with a particular focus on our activities in South Africa,
where 88% of our workforce is based. The report has drawn on the G3 Sustainability
Reporting Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for general guidance
purposes.
